A rare and characterful pair of Chinese armchairs from the Qing Dynasty, acquired in 1980 from Robert Morrison Antiques, Queen Street, Woollahra. Crafted in warm toned timber with elegant yoke backs, curved armrests and traditional joinery, these chairs carry the quiet authority of genuinely old furniture.

Both chairs are in good antique condition. One chair has a rear corner joint that can be easily restored by a furniture maker.

Each chair is offered with a handmade cushion in navy and white Ikat fabric, adding a considered textile detail that complements the depth of the timber.
